Richard Wayne Brawley, of Marshall, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Oaklawn Hospital.

He was born on May 26, 1945, in Cincinnati, OH, to Ike and Esther (Krous) Brawley. He was blessed to be raised by his stepfather Earl S. Moles.

Dick was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was an active member at the Marshall Church of Christ congregation. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed working with tools in his garage, but his biggest joy in the last 13 years was watching his grandson in everything.

He was proud to be a tool and die maker for 40 years and retired from General Motors with 25 years of service.

He married the former Norma Ann Hastings on June 12, 1965. She survives him. He also leaves his sons Richard Harrison Brawley, John Wayne (Bobbie, that he loved like a daughter) Brawley, daughter Tonja Ann Brawley; grandson; Cody Ryan Brawley, brother James E. "Jim" Brawley, sisters Beth (Steve) Shepard and Geraldine Coffey and many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Esther Moles and his stepfather Earl Moles; sister Nancy Parlier and son James "Jamie" Harrison Brawley.

No visitation is scheduled.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at Marshall Church of Christ, 14734 18 ½ Mile Rd., Marshall, MI.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Marshall Church of Christ.

Arrangements are by Royal Funeral Home.
