Surrounded by his loving family, Richard Sell, age 97, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his home in Alamo, Texas. He was born in Lincoln, NE, February 2, 1920, son of the late Conrad and Elizabeth (Nee: Hetzel) Sell.

During World War II he proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps. On August 9, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Frances M. Tobias who preceded him in death, August 30, 2010. Richard was employed for many years as a tool and die maker at Belle City Malleable Iron Company before his long and well-earned retirement. He was a member of Christ Congregational Church. More than anything he cherished time spent with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Karen (Tim) Adams of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Todd Sell of Alamo, TX; his three grandchildren, Emily Adams of Bowie, MD, Jennifer (Vincent) Morival of Lesquin, France, Shalene Sell of Milwaukee, WI; his four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Sam, Isaiah, and Maximo; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services and interment with Full Military Honors will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.
