Richard L. Clark

Died Tuesday afternoon November 17, 2009. Richard was born October 11, 1948 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Willard and Mildred (Knight) Clark. During Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with International Paper for 36 years before retiring. Richard was also a member of the Kalamazoo Missionary Church and the Portage Moose Lodge #88. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Willard Clark. He is survived by two daughters, Amy S. Norris of Jonesville, MI and Shelly L. Jackson of Portage; four grandchildren, Jacob Risner and Rick Daniels, Matt Jackson and Jayden Ailes; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Missionary Church. 343-1508.
