Richard Fitzsimmons

Richard Fitzsimmons of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on July 1, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo at the age of 87. He was born on March 22, 1930 in Eden Township, Iowa to Carl and Algra Fitzsimmons. Dick was an accomplished member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, receiving his Pilgrim Degree in 1992 and serving as the organization's Michigan state President in 1993. He retired in 1996 as the Administrator of the Jackson Moose Lodge. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War. Dick is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 42 years. Also surviving are his children Rick Fitzsimmons, Dave (Bonnie) Markle, Karen (Tom) Phillips, Kate (Ray) Wheelock; five grandchildren: Sara, David, Tim, Lindsay, Stephanie and three great-grandchildren: Anakin, Mia and Mason.
