Richard Dozier

Richard (Dick) Lewis Dozier passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the age of 76. He was born in Rhinelander, WI, the son of Mary Lu and Richard Dozier. Dick is survived by Lani Ciluffo, the love of his life, and her children, Jason and Tonya Ciluffo. Surviving family members include sisters Pat Brown and her husband, Bob, of Kalamazoo, and Carol Renauld and her husband, Bob, of Delaware, along with their children Jennifer (Mike) Brady, Kelly (Jeremy) Lewis and Matthew (Emily Whitehouse) Renauld. Also surviving are eleven great nieces and nephews. Dick was an avid people person and thoroughly enjoyed gardening and entertaining friends in his beautiful backyard and on his boat at Gull Lake. He was an enthusiastic University of Michigan sports fan and especially liked their marching band. Throughout his life, Dick enjoyed playing golf and platform tennis. He had a successful career as a car salesman for Orrin B. Hayes and was extremely proud that many of his loyal customers became longtime friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Raphelson and Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan for the special care Dick received. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Langeland Funeral Home Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
