Richard C. Gerardo, age 74, passed away Sunday, Christmas Day, December 25, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center. Richard was born in Racine, September 8, 1942, son of the late Catarino and Juanita (Nee: Rodriguez) Gerardo.

Richard was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1960”. On September 4, 1965 he was united in marriage to Rose M. Slifer. Richard was employed by J.I. Case Company for nearly twenty-nine years, retiring in 1995. An avid Brewer and Packer fan, Richard also enjoyed listening to music.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Rose; his children, Eva M. Gerardo, Joseph Gerardo, Robert Gerardo; seven grandchildren, Maria, Rebecca, James, Jacqueline, Justine, Matthew, and Ethan; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Spero, Cathy Jaster; brother, John Gerardo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Edward.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
