Reverend Peter Bazen

Reverend Peter L. Bazen, age 75 of Grand Rapids, passed away April 18, 2017. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jo Bazen; parents Peter and Magdalena Bazen; parents-in-law Steven and Tena De Kort; brothers John and Dick Bazen; sister-in-law Ellen Bazen; and brothers-in-law Bill VandenToorn and Tom Karelse. Reverend Bazen is survived by his wife, Marjorie; children Steve and Mieke Bazen, Peter and Carla Bazen, Daniel Bazen, Ed and Cindy Bazen, Sharon and Tim Van Dyke; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters and their spouses Joanne Vandentoorn, Edith Bazen, Marinus Bazen, Helen Oudendyk, Marie and Jim Rosendall, Gertrude and Henry Rosendall, Jim and Barb Bazen; sister-in-law Effie Karelse as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit with Rev. Bazen's family on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM at First Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 1261 Beckwith Ave NE. Interment to follow in Fairplains Cemetery.
