Rev. Charles Edward Doornbos

It is with the joy and peace of Christ Jesus that we announce the passing of Charles Edward Doornbos. He died peacefully on September 29th, 2018 at age 81 in Douglas, MI. Growing up in Kalamazoo, MI, he attended Hope College and graduated from Western Michigan University. He felt called into ministry, attended Western Theological Seminary and became a Reformed Church pastor. His ministry continued to his dying day. Charles leaves behind his siblings Ray and Judy and his wife of 50 years Elsie. He also leaves behind his children Chuck (Jackie) Doornbos, Lisa (Dan) Heneveld, Ned Doornbos, and Tony (Becki) Doornbos. He has 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, MI. Donations can be made to Cran-Hill Ranch or Camp Geneva. "Press On"
