Renee was born June 28, 1950, in Traverse City, Michigan to Harry George Watkoske and Gladys Lauraine Watkoske (Kadrovach) and took pride in being a native of Traverse City where she resided her entire life. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1968 and then attended Northern Michigan Unviersity where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973. She further continued her education later in life and received a Masters degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University and a certification from the AAPC. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching and was involved with Northwestern Michigan College for many years and multiple universities online nationwide.

In 1968 she married Michael Thomas Bee and had 3 daughters, Kirsten Michelle Crosby (Bee), Mackenzie Renee Waters, and Hayley Morgan Czajkowski (Bee) whom her whole world revolved. She was a well adored grandma (Nee-Nee) to her two grandchildren, Connor Crosby and Camryn Crosby. She had a profound love for her daughters and grandchildren that showed in every aspect of her life.
