Randall Kopf

Randall Lawrence Kopf, age 62, went to be with the Lord after his courageous three year battle with lung cancer on Friday, June 5, 2020. Randy and his wife Pat retired to Traverse City, MI in 2016. Randy and Pat spent their 20 years together enjoying bicycle tours, hiking, and backpacking around the country. Being on their tandem bicycle brought them joy and a lifetime of memories. They were blessed to have their summers to explore the outdoors with their children and friends. Randy and Pat shared a beautiful bond and demonstrated love, compassion, compromise, and joy in their marriage. Randy enjoyed listening to his extensive music collection and cooking for friends and family. Randy taught for 30 years at Kellogg Community College in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and was passionate about his students and the mission of the Community College. Randy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Patricia Kopf (Halabicky), his parents Robert and Barbara Kopf, Norma and Carl Vaden. His children Evan, Jessica (Jon) Molnar, Lisa (David) Hammond, Jessica (Alex) Lee. His siblings Kim (Deb Hall), Patti (Scott) Hayward, Ken (Allison), Kelly (Chad) Dutcher. Grandchildren James, Sophie, Matthew, Elizabeth, and grand dog Cooper :). Beloved nieces and nephews, the Halabicky family, bike gang, and countless friends and colleagues. A mass at St. Thomas Episcopal Church and Celebration of life will be in September 2020. Memorial Donations can be made to the Kellogg Community College Foundation (Randy and Pat Kopf Scholarship).
