Col. Pierre Louis ''Pete'' LeFevre, USMCret, age 69, died Saturday, May 22, 2004. He was born on December 22, 1934 to Dr. Louis and Catherine LeFevre and was a graduate of North
Muskegon High School. Col. LeFevre started his Marine Corps career in 1953 when he enlisted
in the Marine Corps Reserve. He graduated in May of 1957 from John Carroll University and
earned his commission in June of 1957. He married Anne Kearns on April 23, 1960. He proudly
served his country for 34 years including three tours in Vietnam. His personal decorations
included the Legion of Merit with Presidential Unit Citation and National Defense Service. After
his retirement from the Marine Corps, Col. LeFevre served as Dean of Men at Bishop Ireton
High School in Arlington, Va. In December of 2000, Col. LeFevre's beloved wife, Anne, passed
away. In November of 2003, Pete married an old family friend, Esther Ramsey.
SURVIVORS
Wife, Esther; three children, David Lisa, Mark Joyce and Nancy Mike Dowgiello; 10
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; Brother, Dr. George Sally LeFevre. He was
predeceased by one grandchild, Rachel LeFevre.
SERVICE
A funeral Mass was held on June 4, 2004 in Vienna, Va. with burial following on July 12,2004
in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. You may sign the online guest book at
