Phyllis Boers

Mrs. Phyllis E. (Overmyer) Boers, age 94, of Paw Paw, MI died Saturday afternoon August 19, 2017 in Paw Paw, Michigan. Phyllis was born August 6, 1923 in Indianapolis, Indiana a daughter of Frank and Myra (Walker) Overmyer. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert D. Boers on July 10, 1981; a granddaughter, Hunter LaRose; 2 brothers, Claire and Robert Overmyer; and a sister, Martha Tiller-Stephenson. She is survived by 6 children, Lois (Steve) Mockbee of Marcellus, Deborah Boers of Kalamazoo, Michael (Marie) Boers of Parchment, Del (Susie) Boers of Kalamazoo, Jim (Jonie) Boers of Paw Paw, and Penny LaRose of Vicksburg; 9 grandchildren, Bob (Tonya) King, Chad King, Amanda (Derek) Bloomfield, Briana Jones Boers, Becky (T.J.) Huntley, Steven (Robin) Boers, Amy (Dan) Tapper, Hailey and Casie LaRose; 8 great-grandchildren, Carson, Macy, Kylee, Charlie King, Drake, Alyssa Huntley, July, Haven Bloomfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Maple Lake Assisted Living Sometimers Walk For Alzheimer's.
