He absolutely loved his work, he became known to many as "Pete the Plumber". Pete stayed active well into his 80's both at work and at play. Although not always apparent, Pete loved being around people and entertaining people. He was the host of Friday night happy hours for years at his home on Austin Lake. He was also famous for his "Peteisms" quotes and sayings he loved to repeat, most not appropriate to repeat here. There will be no immediate services, a private family burial at Ft Custer will take place at a later date. The family will also host a memorial celebration party in honor of Pete later in the year. Memorial contributions may be made to Senior Services, Kalamazoo; Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo; or a charity of one's choice. Please do not send flowers, as there is no visitation or service.
