Paul "Tom" Beebe

Passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Sheffield Lake, OH. Tom was born March 4, 1932 in Detroit, MI the son of Paul G. and Muriel (Wareham) Beebe. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. Tom earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University, and his Master's from Western Michigan University. He began working in the banking industry and later became a school teacher. He was employed with the Portage Schools for nearly 30 years until his retirement. Tom enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Kalamazoo Bass Club. He also enjoyed biking, bowling, golf, and traveling. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their various activities. On July 8, 1960 Tom was united in marriage to his loving wife Joan (Slentz), who survives. He is also survived by his son, Jim (Amy) Beebe; 4 grandchildren, Madison, Samantha, Kayla, and Alexander; and in-laws, Vincent (Audrey) Slentz, and Marilyn Slentz. Services will be held at 11:00am Monday, November 26 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre. Interment will follow in Portage South Cemetery. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00 Monday prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the D.A.V. or the charity of your choice.
