Paul Hotrum

Paul Joseph Hotrum was born on August 4,1940 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Clifford and Berniece (Kassel) Hotrum. He passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 16, 2025 following some health complications from pneumonia.

Paul, or Joe as he was known to family and close friends, grew up in Kalamazoo where he met and married Dorothy Hurd, and together they had three daughters, Tonya Musser, Terri Hotrum, and Tammy Emmons.

He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

He was known for his expertise in the realm of machine manufacturing, and was often sent elsewhere to train others, including overseas to places like France and Germany. Joe also loved stock cars, both helping to build them and especially to drive them. He won many races on quarter mile tracks around southwest Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, daughters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister, Vivian Manion, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and the family is planning a celebration of life for him to be held on May 17th at 227 Albany St, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001 starting around 12pm till around 6pm.
