Patrick Everett

Passed away May 22, 2017 due to the wicked ways of cancer. He leaves behind Shirley, the woman he literally swept off her feet over 40 years ago, his sons Mason and Steven, and a hell of a lot of stuff those three don't know what to do with. His mechanical, automotive, plumbing, carpentry, and general know-how made him the champion of the house, known to close family and friends as "Mr. Everything." He had a love for muscle cars and motorcycles but traded those in for a seat on the bleachers at his sons' sporting events. Many of you may remember Pat from Kalamazoo Central ('71), his 33 years at General Motors and Delphi, or as the familiar face shopping at Harbor Freight or Menards. When he wasn't tinkering in the garage, he was... ok, he was always tinkering in the garage. But he still loved drives to South Haven just to watch the sunset and numerous board games with the family at holidays. Pat was the son of the late Jerald & Helen (Magierka) Everett. Others sure to miss him are his brother- and sisters-in-law Bruce & Patricia Mason and Gayla (Mason) Gesmundo; their kids and spouses Rob & Tina Mason and Danielle & Trent Pierre; their children Zoe, Cole, Parker and Miles; and other family throughout the country. He also leaves behind his good friend Milo Scott. A celebration of Pat's life will be held Thursday, June 8th from 5-8 pm at the Comstock VFW (5990 E. Michigan, 49048). In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to the Josh Whitfield Memorial Athletic Fund (jwmaf.org/pat) at the Comstock Community Center.
