Patricia Kinney

Patricia Jane Kinney, 69, of South Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Pat was born May 27, 1949 to Myles and Priscilla (Heinig) Kinney in Hinsdale, Illinois. She attended South Haven Public Schools, Coldwater Training School and participated in many programs provided by Van Buren County Rehab Facility Sheltered Workshop in Bangor. Pat loved her family, coloring, shopping, reading, attending monthly dances, collecting books, and celebrating her birthday. She participated in Special Olympics and volunteered at Goodwill. She is preceded in death by her parents. Pat is survived by her siblings Stephen (Sandra) of Kalamazoo, Michael of Battle Creek, Clare (William) Olney of South Haven, Anne (Donald) Eldred of Mattawan and John (Tracy) of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; niece and nephews Michael Jr., Christopher, Matthew, Elisabeth and Nicholas; four great nephews and three great nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in South Haven, Pastor Ron VanLente, officiating. Pat will be laid to rest at Monks Cemetery, Geneva Township. The family would like to express a special thank-you to Pat's long-term foster parents, Sue Wedde of Gobles and Joe and Dee Osborn of Bangor; Van Buren County Mental Health MTI Program case managers Marlene Rose and Bridgette Gumpert, and all the staff at Grace Way at Countryside, South Haven.
