Died peacefully at Henry Allegiance Hospice Home on Sept 21, 2018. She was born in Westerville, OH November 24, 1935. She is survived by her husband William J. Fuerstenau; daughters Martha Ann Fuerstenau (Kate Martin), Jackson; Jane Elisabeth Fuerstenau (Mitch Michaud), Soldotna, Alaska; grandchildren William Fox Michaud and Madeleine Winter Michaud, Soldotna, Alaska. She is also survived by sister Janet (Roger) Dyke of the Villages, FL; and brother Donald (Jean) Sowers of Portland, OR. Patricia received her BA degree from Alma College, and her Master's Degree in Human Ecology from MSU. She taught high school students for many years in the various communities in which she lived, including the College of Human Ecology at MSU. During her twenty years of retirement in Jackson, she was involved in the American Association of University Women. She held many different offices but her passion was the AAUW scholarship fund, which gave female college students in Jackson colleges the opportunity to attend leadership conferences in Washington D.C. She also served both as an Elder and Deacon at Jackson's First Presbyterian Church. Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 9, and at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 10th. Following the service, there will be a celebration of her life at the Country Club of Jackson for family and friends.
