Patricia Ann Deweese, "Patsy Ann" "Aunt Pat", 82, Centennial, CO passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Patricia was born in Muskegon, MI to Chester, "Chet" and Elizabeth, "Bess" Deweese on June 14, 1936. Patricia attended Muskegon Catholic Central High School. She moved to Colorado after graduating from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI with a Masters in Education. Patricia taught English, Reading and Writing in the Colorado Public School System at Issac Newton Middle School and Arapahoe High School, Centennial, CO. Aunt Pat was a devout Catholic, loved photography, world travel, reading and writing. She was beloved by her family, friends and former students. Her stories, quick humor and sweet smile will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother David (Sally) Deweese. Patricia is survived by her brother, Bernard (Carrol) Deweese, Kalamazoo, MI and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces in Alaska and Michigan. A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Thomas More, 8035 S. Quebec St., Centennial, CO, 80112, January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will follow the mass at Glenn Oaks Townhouse Clubhouse, 7200 S. Vine St., Centennial, CO 80122. Patricia will be laid to rest beside her parents, Chester and Elizabeth, June 14, 2019, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Cemetery, Muskegon, MI. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to your favorite charity in honor of a loving and generous woman whose life was filled with the passion of education, travel and her Catholic faith. The family would like to give a special thanks to The Denver Hospice and Rythms Homecare for their support and care. Funeral services were entrusted to Agape Funeral Services, Littleton, CO.
