Orville J. Richardson

Age 99, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Orville was born on August 22, 1918 in Cushman, Arkansas; the eldest son of the late Ezra and Nellie (Glenn) Richardson. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. Orville had no formal education growing up but was able to obtain the rank of foreman working for the railroad construction company, Charles Nurrie, Inc. He retired after more than 40 years of dedicated service. On April 14, 1938, he was united in marriage to the former Anna Jean Scott, who preceded him in death on August 7, 2005. Orville was also preceded in death by his son in-law, Ronald McKinnon; five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his children, John (Lois) Richardson and Barbara McKinnon; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM; Rev. Donna Keyte officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
