Oren E. Aber

Oren E. Aber, Jr., age 77, of Battle Creek died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Battle Creek Health System. Oren was born on January 6, 1930, in Battle Creek, the son of Oren G. and Mable (Roush) Aber. He was a lifelong area resident and was employed with Clark Equipment for 30 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, enjoyed fishing, auto racing and was a driver at Galesburg Speedway in the 50's.

Oren was married to the former Betty Stephens who preceded him in death in 1982. Surviving is a son, Oren E. "Mike" Aber III of Battle Creek; 2 brothers, Bob Aber of Bedford and Don Aber of Wall Lake.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorials may be directed to the Calhoun County Humane Society. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
