Ocie Riggins

Ocie passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 20, 2019 at Gold Orchards Assisted Living in Fennville, MI. He was born on December 26, 1939 the son of Ocie and Gertrude Riggins in Vincent, AL. Ocie worked for over 29 years as a welder before retiring in 1995. After his retirement he spent most of his time fishing with his buddies. Ocie is survived by his special friend, Dollie, whom he spent the last 20 years with; a stepdaughter, Jona Kelly of Toledo; brothers and sisters, Joyce Riggins of Gobles, Barbara Randolph of Chicago, Pervis McKelvey of Chicago, Annie Lenoir of Chicago and Eric Riggins of Racine, WI; a grandson, Brandon Kelly and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Riggins. The family will meet friends on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 12-1 PM with services following at 1 PM at the Bloomingdale Chapel of the D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. Pastor Michael Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery.
