Nyla Isabelle Graham, 85 of Battle Creek, died Sunday, November, 26, 2006 at her home. She was born February 10, 1921 in Lacey, Michigan the daughter of Ervin and Grace (Kesler) Miller. Nyla was a 1939 graduate of Hastings High School.

On April 1, 1940 she was married to Albert James Graham who preceded her in death on March 13, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Helen (Aspinall) Rozelle, one brother, Robert Miller and grandson, Toby Graham.

Nyla was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and former member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a sales representative for Gilmore Brothers, volunteered at both Leila and Community Hospitals and most recently volunteered at Bibles for Missions Thrift Store. Nyla enjoyed family, friends, and gardening, travel, knitting, crocheting and special canine friends: Heidi, Cassie, Toto and Jack.

Surviving are two sons: Michael Graham (partner Will Keifer) of Battle Creek and Douglas (Marjorie) Graham of Newport, Tennessee; three grandsons: Jeff (Candace) Graham, Chris (Emily) Graham and Nick Graham; three step-grandchildren: James, Brandon and Brittany; one great-grandson: Josh; three great-granddaughters: Samantha, Christina and Alesandra; two brothers: Everett (Linda) Miller of Battle Creek and Floyd (Gertrude) Miller of Lacey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Kingery Clingenpeel officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church or the Humane Society.
