Nola Crain

Nola passed away at the age of 91 Thursday, Sept. 12th at Bronson Hospital. She was a longtime Kalamazoo resident in the Milwood area and spent her last years of life at The Springs Healthcare Center. Nola grew up in the Three Rivers area one of six children of Floyd Sr. and Violet Hagenbuch. Nola was an avid bridge player and could remember every card played in a hand. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, crossword puzzles and was an animal lover. Nola invited in and fed every stray or neighbor's cat that came to the door. Nola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, her sisters Bernadette (Burnell) Long, Delores (Bill) Hagenbuch and her brothers Floyd Jr. (Bobbie) Hagenbuch and Jerry (Carole) Hagenbuch. Surviving are her daughter Susan (Jack) Kreling, grandchildren Andy (Suzy Smyth) Kreling and Jill Kreling and her youngest brother Kurt (Dianne) Hagenbuch. Cremation has taken place. Her cremains will be privately interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
