Nicholas Rice

Nicholas "Nick" Lee Rice, age 39, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Saturday May 5th, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Born in Kalamazoo, MI on April 29th, 1979 to Bruce and Marianne Rice, Nick was the oldest of five boys. He enjoyed spending time camping, taking road trips, and spending time with his family. Nick's most joyful moments were those spent preparing and displaying decorations for every holiday. Despite facing several health issues, he almost always had a smile on his face. His contagious smile could light up an entire room. Nick is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Rice. He is survived by his mother: Marianne (Hawkins) Rice of Kalamazoo, MI; brothers: Benjamin Rice of Kalamazoo, MI, Andrew (Kari) Rice of Vicksburg, MI, Ian Rice of Kalamazoo, MI, and James (Kiersten Teadt) of Richland, MI. Also surviving are two nephews Tucker and Hudson Rice. A private memorial will be held for immediate family. Donations or contributions may be made in the memory of Nick directly to the National Kidney Foundation.
