Neil Strong

Died Sunday afternoon June 14, 2020 at his residence. Neil was born August 29, 1928 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of James and Celia (Hahn) Strong. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area residence and was employed with the Eaton Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1987. Neil was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy M. Strong on May 8, 2003; a sister, Beverly Bingham; and a grandson, Steve Strong. He is survived by 3 sons, Edward (JoAnna) Strong of Phoenix, AZ, Michael (Linda) Strong of Schoolcraft, and William Strong of Traverse City, MI; 3 grandchildren, William Strong, Kris Pierce, and Lynette Strong; 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard "Dick" Strong of Traverse City, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 o'clock Monday, June 22nd in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. A private visitation will be held. Memorials made be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
