Nancy Burland

Nancy B. Burland, age 52, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 9, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1965 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Marlon and Ann (Bigelow) Gerould. On July 26, 1985, she was united in marriage to Joseph T. Burland, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Jaime Burland and Ashley Henderson both of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren: Makiah Henderson, Jaylynn Burland, Jonathan Burland and Adrian Henderson; father: Marlon Gerould of Bonita Spring, FL; three brothers: Alan Gerould of Portage, Jamie (Jeanne) Gerould of Naples, FL and Zawdie (Nancy) Abiade of Muskegon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Preceding her in death were her mother: Ann Gerould; infant son: Sean Burland; grandson: Malachi Burland; twin brother: John Gerould; father-in-law: Norman Burland and mother-in-law: Jeannine Burland-Dinkel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street. Msgr. Michael Hazard will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for her grandchildren's education. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
