Monty Wilson

Wilson , Monty 12/23/2021 Plainwell Monty Wilson Plainwell Mi passed away 12/23/2021 while visiting his son and daughter in law in Park City Utah. Monty was born in Lansing to the late Perry and Josephine Wilson. Monty attended Everett high school where he was a stand-out athlete in football and wrestling and was an all-state player in both sports.and then attended and graduated from Michigan state university. He especially enjoyed his travels through Asia while serving in the U.S. Navy where he served as a communications technician, 2nd class. Monty worked in manufacturing most of his career but his great love was owning his own payroll business where he made many life long friends. In retirement he enjoyed playing bridge, golf and going to the gun range with his friend Steve. He was also involved in local politics. Monty is survived by Joy his wife of 61 years, a son Patrick (Robyn), a daughter Lisa and 3 grandsons Jake (Andi), Nico, and Nick, a brother Randy, sister Sally (Jim) Morse and sister in law Darlene. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Larry and Jerry At Monty's request there will be no funeral
