Michiel VanDenBos

Michiel VanDenBos, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Mick was born November 27, 1943 to the late Cornelius M. and Myrtle (Gunnett) VanDenBos, Jr. Mick was united in marriage to Norma "Lynn" Nyman on November 17, 1962. She preceded him in death in October of 2011. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Lillian Bartells and Ruth Hansen. He attended New Life Victory Church. He was a longtime member of a bowling league and an active Relay for Life participant. Mick is survived by his daughters, Laurie VanDenBos and Elizabeth "Beth" (Todd Hill) VanDenBos; brother, Tom (Wilma) VanDenBos; nephew, Jay (Melinda) Hansen; special friends, the Beachnau family, the Snell family, the Penny family, the Malone family, and his W.A.T.P.O.P.W.A. team. A funeral service will take place on Monday, April 23rd, 6:00PM at New Life Victory Church, 2775 S 26th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49048. The family will greet friends for 1 hour before the service. Pastor Scott Anderson will officiate. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. As everyone knew, when Mick would help you, he would say, "That'll be 2 bucks".
