Age 71, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2018 at Bronson Hospital. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, car guy, business man, genius of many abilities and all around Cool Dude! Mike was one of the busiest guys, whether at work or play. He attended Comstock Schools and graduated in 1964. After high school, he spent some fun time in California with a few buddies. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves as a dental technician. In 1966, Mike began working with his father at Peerless, Inc. and he continued to own and operate the business to this day. Mike enjoyed building and restoring hot rods and muscle cars. He won many awards at the various car shows over the years. The most memorable car was his 1967 Nova, which he meticulously restored and was featured in Popular Hot Rodding magazine. Mike also enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially for white tail deer and bluegill. Surviving family include his wife, Patricia, with whom he enjoyed many wonderful years of marriage. Other family members include his sons, Paul (Marcy) Leversee; Jay (Nita) Leversee; step-son Fred (Chrissy) Dunlap as well as his sisters, Paula (Jerry) Cameruci and Linette (Ernie) Richards. He is also survived by nephews, Curt and Daric Cameruci and nieces Amber and Myriah, along with many other relatives. Mike was preceded in death by his first wife Jane Leversee, mother of his children. Mike had a loving nature and always lent a hand to anyone that needed his help. His humor, mechanical and fabricating abilities were second to none. Mike will always be in our hearts. He will always be loved and missed by many. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31st from 4-7 pm at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
