Lane, Michael Sherman Johnson Kalamazoo, formerly of Delton Michael Sherman Johnson Lane passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 20th, 2017. Michael was born February 17th, 1983 in Dallas, Texas the son of Candy Lane and Michael Johnson. At a young age Michael moved in with his loving grandparents Johny and Lorna Lane of Delton, Michigan. A few years later he was blessed with a baby sister Shyanne whom he loved dearly. Michael graduated with honors from Delton Kellogg High School (Class of 2001), received his Bachelor's of Science from Western Michigan University in 2005, and continued onward to obtain his Master's of Science in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2007. It is at SIU-C where Michael met the love of his life, Bridget Faloon, and was married in a beautiful vineyard wedding on September 20th 2008. During the first years of marriage, the two concentrated on their professional aspirations. They knew their life was not yet complete and on March 1st 2016, they welcomed their pride and joy, a son Sherman Michael Lane. Michael was a beloved husband, father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, and the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for. He was an animal lover and enjoyed the furry company of Snoop, Fat Cat, Brownie, Mosley, Maya, and Macy. An accomplished Behavior Analyst, he took pride in providing behavior services for the most challenging cases. One of his many distinctions is being published in his field. He loved the outdoors; hiking, camping, and especially time on his grandparents' lake. An avid disc golfer, he also loved to watch sports, especially college basketball and the NFL. He also enjoyed his times with friends: playing cards, horse shoes, fantasy football, attending concerts, enjoying craft beer, and telling stories around a bonfire. Michael is survived by his wife and son, a sister, grandparents, father, his in-laws: Warren and Mary Faloon of Saint Johns, Michigan; a brother-in-law: Ryan (Carly) Faloon of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; several aunts and uncles, cousins, and a very close knit group of friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother and very special Uncle Johnny "Squirt" Lane. Michael's family will receive friends Wednesday, 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. Michael's Memorial Service will be conducted Thursday, April 27, 2017, 1:00 PM at Faith United Methodist Church, 503 South Grove, Delton. Private interment will take place at a later date in Battle Creek Memorial Park. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
