Korpak, Michael Patrick, Jr. 1/31/1936 - 11/15/2020 Grand Junction Michael Patrick Korpak Jr., age 84, of Grand Junction, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol Korpak; children: Rena (Les) Lynema, Ranita (Mark) Ashbrook and Scott (Kimberly) Korpak; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister, Cecila (Tom) Michaels. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles (Kathy still living). Mike's main purpose in life was to provide for his family. He loved farming, woodcutting, working and raising cattle. He worked at Gibson Guitars in Kalamazoo for many years. He was proud of his Russian/Ukrainian heritage and was the first generation born in the United States. His faith was a guiding light in his life. Some of his roles were church board member (elder and deacon), chairman of the missions committee, and an adult Sunday School teacher for many years at the Bloomingdale Christian Church. According to his wishes, cremation and burial at Grand Junction Cemetery has taken place. A celebration memorial service will take place at a later date at Bloomingdale Christian Church.
