Mr. Michael D. Edwards aged 51 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Southern California, passed away on March 22, 2017 after a 27 year battle with ALS. He is survived by his mother, Marianne Edwards; father, Virgil Facciani; sister, Lisa (Graeme Marsh) Facciani; brother, Anthony Edwards; and Pastor J.K. Stehouwer and friends at Zion Baptist Church. Prior to ALS Michael was a talented athlete and later and active volunteer at Trinitarian Bible Society. Friends may visit with Michael’s family from 7-9 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 851 Leonard St. NW and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at church. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Zion Baptist Church, 1706 Richmond St. NW. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery.
