Michael A. Jastrow

Michael A. Jastrow, age 61, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. Michael was born in Rolla, North Dakota, September 19, 1955, son of the late Gilbert and Beatrice (Nee: Marion) Jastrow.

On December 11, 1976 at St. Edward Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Lori J. Kraus. He was employed by Western Publishing for twenty-six years. Michael was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. An avid Packer fan, he had a great love for his faithful companions, Gizmo and Peanut. Above all he will be best remembered as a loving husband, father, and the greatest grandfather ever.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty years, Lori; his children, Nicole (Andy) Hapka, Michael (Laura Chavez) Jastrow Jr.; his grandchildren, Matthew, Samuel, Elizabeth, and Hannah Hapka; sisters, Marion (Dennis) Chars, Catherine (Marshall) Teschner, Debra Radtke, Tammy (Randy) Haas; mother-in-law, Javelle Hinze; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne (Bambi) Kraus, Cheryl Kraus (Marty Meisner); nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Abigail Hapka; and brother, Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
