May Ann Forrest

Forrest, Mary Ann 2/1/1924 - 12/30/2018 Portage Mary Ann (Fyten) Forrest of Flint, St. Joseph, and Portage, Michigan passed away on December 30, 2018 at the age of 94. Mary Ann was the beloved wife of Harold Forrest (deceased 2005); and was the proud matriarch of a large family, including her children Hallie Alderson; Jeffrey (Nancy) Forrest; David (Lois) Forrest; John (Rene) Forrest; Mary Jo (Rick) Gehl; Mark (Mari) Forrest; Suzanne (Dave) Hazlett; 27 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Virginia Swanson and brother in law, Tom Sutton. Mary Ann and Harold met in the service during World War II and were happily married for 60 years, devoting their lives to each other and their family. She was happiest spending time with her friends and family. She loved antiquing, cooking, and had a wry sense of humor. A private service will be held in the spring.
