Maxine Cripe

Maxine E. Cripe, age 92, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away peacefully Sunday night, December 3, 2017. Maxine was born August 5, 1925 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of Raymond and Bertha. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Paul; her infant sister, Barbara; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Cripe. On September 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Mervin T. Cripe, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 21, 2008. Surviving Maxine are 2 sons, Mervin R. Cripe and James A. Cripe; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lynn) Cripe, Pamela (Kevin) Thorne, Joan (Doug) Skrzyniarz, Jennifer (Mike) Jura, and Jeremy (Tanveer) Stoepker; 8 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, Jack, Brennan, Alydia, Avery, Peter and Mali; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7th from 4-7pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8th, at 11:00am. Pastor Steve Slater will officiate. Interment will be in East Cooper Cemetery following the service.
