Life Story / Obituary

Max M. Lettow, 91, of Kalamazoo passed away Monday, April 16, 2018.

He was born on June 20, 1926 in Homer MI to the late Oscar and Odessa (Sine) Lettow. Max was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as an electrician at Upjohn’s. Max enjoyed watching, coaching and playing ball. He played from ages 8 to 77. He loved to bowl and watch his kids and grandkids play sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, January 3, 2018 and his beloved son Randy.

He is survived by his son Mark (Debbie) Lettow of Portage, Daughter-in-Law Cheryl Lettow of Portage, Gary (Kathy) Lettow of Schoolcraft, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Max and Mary were long time members of Zion Lutheran Church

A service for Max will be held on Friday, April 20th at 12 noon in the chapel at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park on Westnedge. The family will greet friends on Friday starting at 10:45am at the McCowen & Secord Life Story Family Funeral Homes, 5975 Lovers Lane, Portage (269-344-5600).
