Mary L. Graf

Mary L. Graf, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Woods of Caledonia. Mary was born in Racine, September 29, 1926, daughter of the late Eward and Hazel (Nee: Williamson) Stilb and was a lifelong resident of Racine.

Mary graduated from Tufts University, Boston, MA, with a degree in Occupational Therapy. It was at the university where she met, Alfred Graf, who was in medical school at the time. He preceded her in death, 2000. Mary had a flair for interior decorating, art, and enjoyed entertaining. She was a longtime member of the Racine Country Club, one of the founders of Racine County Pony Club and enjoyed volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Claudia (Martin) Pols, Peter Graf, Paul (Susan) Graf, Barbara Burdick, Mindy (Phil) Wood; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Janis Jensen.

Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus, Woods of Caledonia, or to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
