Mary E. Landreau, age 88, passed away peacefully while in hospice care on June 20, 2020 and now resides with Our Lord and Savior. Mary was born on October 3, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann (Diamond) MacFarland of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and step-father, the late Payton Nottingham of Madison Heights, Michigan. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John C. Landreau, Brother Joseph MacFarland Jr., Grandchild Nicholas Helhowski, Great-grandchild Miley Landreau and son-in-law James Helhowski. Mary is survived by her loving children Janetta (David) Bowman, Cathy (Paul) Moyer, Theresa (Robert) Dudek, John Landreau, (Charmane Landreau) daughter-in-law and Grandchildren: Sheila (Kyle) Schneider, Eric (Melissa) Bowman, Laura (Peter) Bruno, Nicole (Mike) Carluccio, Colleen (Aaron) Miller, Danielle Dudek, Thomas Landreau, Rachel Taylor (James) Lieblang and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mary loved to read and play card games. She would sit outdoors for hours admiring with enthusiastic appreciation, the beauty of God's nature and creations. She enjoyed playing with the neighbors dogs. Mary's family, neighbors and childhood best friend Doris Beattie, were the most important factors in her life. She was the oldest of several brothers and sisters that she loved and cared for growing up, Sisters Martha Novak, Patricia Simpson, Sharon Chilcutt, Barbara Nottingham and Brothers Jack, Mack, David & Frances Nottingham. Mary is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at Pomeroy Funeral Home, 5635 Main St., Lexington, Michigan on June 26, 2020 from 11:00am- 2pm followed by burial at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo MI. May she be at peace and in God's Loving hands eternally.
