Obituary
Mary J. Brucklacher, 77, of Avoca, Wisconsin, died Friday, May 9, 2008 at her residence. She was born April 9, 1931 in Allegan, Michigan the daughter of Herbert and Wilma Foster. Mary worked at Advance Transformer for many years in Platteville. She volunteered at the Avoca Fisherie, St. Vincent de Paul, and was a strong supporter of Veteran's Memorial and the Avoca EMTs. Mary enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening. Mary is survived by her children, Patricia Zabkowicz of Milwaukee, Gary Goessel of Grand Rapids, MI, John Brucklacher, fiancée Shannon Hurd of Ames, IA; grandchildren, Carrie (Jerry) Lohr, Kim (Juan) Hurtado, Katie Zabkowicz, Sarah Goessel, Elizabeth (Fred) Duff, Rebeckah Goessel; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Maya, Mateo, River, Kyla, Brayden, Damian, Aliza, Mack, Evan; six brothers and sisters, Betty (Joe) Proxmire, Leona (Clyde) Eckman, Laura Brown, Jake (Gale) Foster, Bruce (Amy) Foster, Wayne (Lisa) Foster; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Gilbert Goessel and Kurt Brucklacher, son, Brian Brucklacher, and grandson, Steven Brucklacher. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Godager Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Avoca Cemetery. Friends may call at the Godager Funeral Home Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with an American Legion Auxiliary service to be held at 5:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the Godager Funeral Home from 9:30 until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. The family suggests memorial be given in Mary's name to the Avoca EMS.
