Martha Koehn

Martha L. Koehn, age 88, of Gobles, MI passed away peacefully Monday, February 5, 2018 at Life Care Center of Plainwell. Martha was born October 6, 1929 in Otsego, the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Lorenz, and had lived in the Gobles area for the majority of her life. Martha was a great cook and was known for her green thumb and being able to make anything grow. Martha was a very compassionate woman and truly loved spending time with her family and friends. Martha thought of Life Care Center as her second home. While there she served as caregiver for many residents and was often sought out for her loving hugs. Martha genuinely thought of all the staff and residents as her extended family. Surviving are her 3 children; Kathleen McGuire, Charlene (Mark) Koehn - Buckhout, and Robert (Candy) Koehn; grandchildren, Amy, Mindy, Kaycee, Brandon; great grandchildren, Hunter, Brylee, Hayden, Caleb, Addeline, Charlie, Connor, McKenzie; 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Katherine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman. The family will meet friends on Thursday, February 8, from 2-3 PM at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will take place at 3 PM. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the M.S. Foundation.
