Marion Louis Middleton, 80, of Battle Creek, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born March 10, 1926 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Glenn and Marguerite (McMahon) Yarger and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School.

During World War II, Marion worked at Percy Jones Hospital where she met Arthur J. Middleton her future husband.

She also worked for the City of Battle Creek, and for Coles. Mainly Marion was a homemaker and loved being with her family.

She was preceded by her husband Arthur in 1971 and a brother Robert Yarger.

She is survived by four daughters, Sue A. (Jim) Dodge of Phoenix, AZ, Janice I. (Dick) Taylor of Midland, Linda M. Taylor of Battle Creek, Pamela J. (Bob) Lajoie of Battle Creek; step-son, Rand Middleton of Willmar, MN; ten grand children, five great grand children; a brother Donald Yarger and sister-in-law, Bernice Yarger both of Battle Creek

Marion enjoyed her crossword puzzles, her cats, working in her garden. Most she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

At the request of the family, friends may call at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, where they will be received from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday February 28, 2007 at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery next to her husband at a later date. Friends who wish may make a memorial contribution to the Remember-a-Vet" fund.
