Marilyn A. VanDerWarn Stewart Landsberg, “Lynn”, age 88, passed away Monday January 16, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Racine on January 20, 1928, daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Nee: Troestler) Vanderwarn.

Lynn was employed by the Racine Unified School District in the Research Department for 20 years until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Racine Garden Club. Lynn enjoyed bowling and served as the League President. Above all she cherished time with her family and will be sadly missed.

Surviving are her children; Debi Rodham, Pamela (Gary Cane) Stewart, Gary Stewart, Mark Stewart, Gene (Denise) Stewart, Randy (Judy) Stewart, John Stewart, Chris Stewart; step-children Patti (Phil) Ontko, Mary Richardson and Michael Landsberg; 9 grandchildren; 9great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Janet Strandt and sister-in-law, Bonnie Vanderwarn, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene G. Stewart, her second husband, Robert Landsberg, sister, Lorraine Vignieri and brother, David Vanderwarn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 20, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation on Friday at 10:00 until time of Mass at the church. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Assn. have been suggested by the family.
