Marilyn Ladd

Marilyn J. Ladd (Essenberg), daughter of Frederick J. Essenberg and Marion L. Essenberg (Gotts) passed away on June 26, 2018, with her family by her side at Rose Arbor Hospice Care in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, she was a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was a certified Audiology and Vision Specialist with the County of Kalamazoo. Mrs. Ladd married John R. Ladd and together they moved to Jacksonville Florida where he was assigned after joining the Navy. They returned to Muskegon and later moved to Kalamazoo. Mrs. Ladd was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ken. Survivors include daughters Diane Wespinter, Melinda Slager, son Jon, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 10, 2018, at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon, Michigan. A reception will follow at Shoreline Inn, 750 Terrace Point Drive, in Muskegon 49440 from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm.
