91, of Kalamazoo was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2019. She was born April 16, 1928 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to the late Jonathan Lafayette and Margaret (Wade) Haynes. She was a warm and loving woman and helped everyone she could in life. She was a nurse, a regular Florence Nightingale, at Bronson hospital and retired from there. She was generous, wholesome, considerate, and kind. She loved to dance, especially to country and western music, as well as hikethis played into her desire to remain physically fit and healthy. She enjoyed gardening and sewed for a long time in life. She enriched her children with the knowledge of farming, canning, and self-sufficiency. They had cattle, pigs, chickens, horses, and more. Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Lynn Trickey and son, Michael Paul Clavet. She was raised with six other children, including a twin sister, Mary (Haynes) Ulrich. She was a triplet at birth, but her brother passed during childbirth. Her siblings all preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Allen (Debbie) Clavet, Georgia (Craig) Notebaert, Sandy (Jim) Mulvey, Sherry (Paul) Tomlinson, Albert Trickey, and Mary Trickey; grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Trickey, Catina (Allen) Quinn, Mitchel Tomlinson, Sally Tomlinson, and Jordon (Riley) Tomlinson; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her sweetheart and best friend Robert Rambert; best friend Judy McWatters; and best friend from childhood Dolly Dishner. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5 from 4-8:00PM and Thursday, June 6 from 12-2:00PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, June 6 at 2:00PM with Majors Sherrie and Keith Welch officiating. Marie will be laid to rest in East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, Tennessee at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Alzheimer's Association.
