RIEMERSMA, Maria

Grand Rapids, MI

Age 86 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 16, 2017. Maria was preceded in death by her husbands Jack Reurink in 1977 and Peter Riemersma in 1998; and her sister, Elizabeth De Keizer. Maria is survived by step-daughter, Anne Van Leur; step-sons, Scott Riemersma and Larry Riemersma; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; brother William (Judy) Van Setten, her sisters Lena (Henry) Kamp, Charlotte Van Setten, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit with Maria’s family at Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield NE, on Wednesday, January 18th, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and one half hour prior to service on Thursday at 2 PM, at Rest Haven Homes, 1424 Union Ave. NE. Burial will be in Fairplains Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rest Haven Home. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Rest Haven for the love and care given to Maria. Revelation 21:4, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow or crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
