Loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on April 18, 2017 at Trillium Woods. Rae was born on March 29, 1931 in Manton, MI the daughter of the late Leonard and Juanita (McDaniel) Cook. She was married to Julius Baltutat who preceded her in death in 1991. Rae is also preceded in death by her sister, Ann Williams and her daughter-in-law, Connie Baltutat. Rae served our veterans as a nurse for 27 years at Michigan Veterans Facility. She enjoyed traveling but especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Rae is survived by her children, Diane (Jeff) Tyler of Cedar Springs, Jim Baltutat of Cedar Springs, Patti Baltutat of Rockford, Terry (Marcia) Baltutat of Byron Center, and Jerry (Jean) Baltutat of Comstock Park; grandchildren, Jason Emery, Meagen Emery, Catherae Ledesma, Amy (Nick) Haan, Kevin Baltutat, Nicole (Patrick) Duffy, and Andrew Baltutat; and great grandchildren, Vivian Rae Duffy and Baby Haan. Also surviving are her brothers, Gary (Mara Lee) Cook of Grand Rapids, George (Anita) Cook of Comstock Park; sisters, Keitha Kramer of Comstock Park, and Lola Mesnard of North Carolina. The family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Woods for the exceptional care provided of their mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday April 24th at 11 AM at Parish of St. Jude, 1120 4 Mile Rd NE. Friends may visit with her family on Sunday from 1-4 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE and beginning at 10 AM at the church. Interment will be in Blythefield Memory Garden. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
