Mable L. Michaels, age 96, of Bradley, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in Venice, FL. She was born November 21, 1916 in Kankakee, the daughter of Frank and Cora (Underwood) Bertrand. She married Francis (Mike) Michaels on May 28, 1935. He passed away September 21, 2008. Mable worked for two local doctors for many years and retired in 1988. She was a lifelong member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and TV.

Mable is survived by two daughters, Janis (Harold) Noel of Bourbonnais and Christine (Donald) Mikkelson of Bradley; two grandsons, Daniel Noel of Bartlett, IL and Michael Noel of Bradley; three granddaughters, Lisa Borchert of Olympia, WA, Laurie Trombley of Chebanse and Cherie Kittrell of Warner Robins, GA; thirteen great-grandchildren and three nieces.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, Kathleen Michaels; one brother, Lyle Bertrand and one sister, Lola Roy.

A memorial service for Mable will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home’s Kankakee Chapel.
