Lynn Hooker

On Saturday, March 30, 2019 the angels came unexpectedly to carry Lynn away. Lynn was born June 26, 1952 in Cadillac, MI. She loved people and always put others before herself. By profession she was an Emergency Room nurse, with an instinctual 6th sense that told her what was wrong and what to do about it. She loved all animals, especially horses, and worked a summer on Mackinac Island where she could ride to her heart's content. Lynn loved music and art. She was an accomplished guitarist with a golden voice, and an artist whose drawings and paintings seized their colors from nature. Most of all, Lynn loved her family. Her daughters Amy (Hooker) and Melissa (Hooker) were all-important to her, as were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by husband Paul Dixon (Somerton, AZ); and siblings: Judy Norris Jones (Grand Rapids, MI); Mary Beth Norris (Caledonia, MI); and Jay Norris (Kalamazoo, MI). Lynn now re-joins loved ones who have preceded her in death: among them her parents Budd and Betty Norris, grandparents, grandson Matthew Hooker and nephew Joseph Norris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/give Burial will be private at Lake Forest Cemetery, Grand Haven, MI. Lynn left Michigan long ago and has been dearly missed. Now our "Widdy" is coming home. #
