In this world there are people who naturally sparkle, who command attention with a wink of an eye, a flash of their smile, and can fill a room with their laughter. On June 28, 2016 this world lost one of those people. Lynda Marie Horn (Franklin) was called home to Heaven after her struggle with illnesses due to respiratory failure.

Lynda was an amazing, little, woman who brought joy to every life she touched. She had a flair for fashion and was known for her creative/fun style, and for her kind and sassy personality. She was a talented gardener, singer, home designer, nail technician, devoted partner, loving daughter, dedicated mother, sister, and friend. She was a Traverse City native born at Munson Hospital June 1, 1958 and raised on Old Mission Peninsula and she graduated from Traverse City Central HighSchool 1976. Lynda enjoyed the water and the natural beauty of the area in which she lived. She also treasured traveling the US with her partner Karl. Lynda loved taking in new experiences and had a wonderful thirst for life. She was a child of God, she had a generous spirit and a heart of gold. She always made time for others. Lynda will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Lynda is survived by her parents, Thomas and Yvonne Franklin, partner Karl Richter, her three children: Walter Adomat, Lisa Marie Spence (Joshua Spence), Russell Horn Jr. (Elizabeth Horn), her sister Toni Franklin, brothers Mitchell (Becky Franklin) and Thomas Franklin, along with her seven grandchildren, two nephews, two nieces, four uncles, five aunts, and several cousins, great nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family gathering to honor and celebrate the life of this beautiful woman in August. If you would like to contact Lynda’s family her daughter can be reached by email: mrslisaspence@gmail.com. Please sign the guest book and share a message with the family.
